How can I delete my account?
WARNING: Deleting your account will permanently lose access to your funds and tokens through the memo app and website. If you do not have a backup of your 12 word Mnemonic phrase (and Old WIF Compressed for older accounts) you will lose access to your funds forever. This includes any future tips, payments, tokens, etc. that your profile may receive.
NOTE: Deleting your account will not delete your public memo profile. This is stored on the blockchain network permanently and cannot be deleted. Your private keys, settings, and login information will be deleted. Log data that we collect for all site visitors will be retained.
- Make sure you have a backup of your private keys (see how to Export Keys)
- Go to your Account page and click on the Delete Account button
- You'll need to enter your password to verify the deletion
