I saw a tv show a few years ago about Nabta Playa, supposedly an ancient monolith site in north Africa that accurately measures the distances of stars. I'm going to be looking into that today.
The first piece of information I need is the co-ordinates of the stones. While there seem to be a few studies, these present the conclusions and not the raw data. I'll look for 'The Origin Map' book next.
