That climate change is happening is a fact. The nonstop warming is undeniable. That we caused it is also undeniable. These are simple numbers issue.

That we have to take actions is undeniable, but how we take action is something that can be made political.

Do we pass laws restricting some thigs, or economic incentives like cap n trade systems, or even taxing things we do not want to disincentivise them.

Wow, that Oorta is retarded. Thanks for posting the tweets to dumbasses so we can go back and respond to their bad ideas.

A mass extinction is way past the point of prevention, it's kinda stupid to mock people who want to try though, you have to be completely ignorant of food chains to think it won't affect us

It's almost as bold/stupid to think that Bitcoin can replace traditional markets, there's no point in mocking people with equivalent passion for life or nature. IMO it's much more valuable

Greenland's "World's Fastest Melting Glacier" Is Growing Again: Media Is Not Happy!!!

No it isn't. That is the same misinformation that had people think that global warming paused. Year after year for decades now the world gets warmer, and Greenlands glaciers recede.

The polar vortex breaking down and causing the horrible winter in North America this year was predicted by climate change models.

The release of CO2 in the atmosphere is a net advantage for the growth of plants which will be needed to feed a highest population level in the future. 1/2

Plants grow faster, but there is also slightly less nutrients in the food due to it. The real problem is that many plants depend on their local climates. Those climates are changing.

Not all species can adapt fast enough to the changes. That ends up having ripple effects in the food chains.

Being at the top when the foundation falls apart is hard. Hopefully we can adapt and be the first species at the top of the food chain to survive a mass extinction event.

Which is why it is best to work now to make it a lesser mass extinction event by taking action now to diminish our future impact.

cool note: more biodiversity allows faster adaption to a changing environment

Makes sense, since more different types of organisms means higher chances that one might be suited to the changes

yeah! right, kind of makes sense. paper that looked at the relationship experimentally with E. coli & green fluorescent protein
