cryptocurrencies being cheaper on a per unit basis is not a reason in an of itself to buy one over the other
unless you think they will compete over the same niche & the current cheaper one will win out & you want a bigger stake of that future niche.

I think monero is a solid project. Seems to have a history of active development. just integrated with ledger wallets too. think monero is the only one with default anon payments & address balances.
Monero devs are anti-segwit (according to their subreddit) so no blockstream takeover :)
Will be interesting to see what they do with the "Unknown amounts of Monero", the courts should assume innocence until proven guilty but I can see exceptions being raised when it comes to money.
no doubt they'll take the easy way out 😒 and skip over assuming innocence until proven guilty. (e.g. making money laundering a crime bc its too difficult to catch actual criminals)
