Okay I get your point. I'm just not trusting government since they destroyed their reputation a lot. Would you trust someone who lied to you once, maybe twice or even more times?
#Protonmail is not about trust, because they use a PGP standard, that is working for decades... Tutanota is about trust, as they only work with their provided software...

I guess that's why they invest... So they can make a way of encryption communication. I'm not paranoid, it's you who are naive. Governments want to spy on us - not give us privacy.
#Protonmail was community funded by a crowdfund, I don't know when they did get that additional government funding, what if you would do some research yourself to find out the truth?
