One thing that is nice about SLP is the protocol is compatible with other blockchains. CashToken protocol works on BCH only.

Probably won't have bandwidth for changes. Mostly just need to get development environment resetup and reconfigured so that libraries can be updated. Not sure AI can help much.
If it was open-source, I think some people would contribute code too
I have been pivoting to Memo open source which has caused old projects like this mobile app to get left behind. No one has ever contributed to Memo's open source projects though.
