The point of failure in Hermetic magic is it's categorization, what I mean by that: If you ask most people for the opposite of red they'd say green while Hermes would say red and green are the same because they're both color, the reality is that red and green are contradictory and the opposite of red is without red, it's a very subtle but important distinction

Clearly the opposite of red is blue.

In RGB colors there is: Red, Green and Blue - remove red there's green AND blue - they aren't opposites - the opposite of red #ff0000 would be #00ffff

Cyan (/ˈsaɪ.ən/, /ˈsaɪ.æn/) is a greenish-blue color.

Yes, it's more like the opposite of red really - red, green and blue are competing colors not complete opposites

"Opposites" exist within a closed system: it is that which opposes the subject Change the defining lines of the system, and this changes the definition of the "opposite".

opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." — The Kybalion.

"Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same;

Yes, but you must define the "everything" to find the poles.
