Exactly. This confusion comes from the fact that Emin, the developer of Avalanche, used it as the main consensus mechanism for Ava Coin - a PoS coin that didn't amount to much (yet?)
I thought that Team Rocket developed Avalanche, and Emin was just a supporter.
