Faith -- belief without evidence -- is an incredibly dangerous mental tendancy. Active disinformation campaigns and pandemic response have both recently re-emphasized this lesson.
If we are going to keep the civilized, technological society we have on the single planet available, we *must* learn to put reason & skepticism over faith, wish-thinking, & intuition.
