Yes, propably. But it will hurt before it gets better. Thing is many investors are just here for the profits, and when the market is nervous, they go fiat cash.
Other possibility is that many investors were leveraged, and they were liquidated when it went down.
Even 2x leverage would mean wipe-out when it dropped 50%.
Propably a little bit of both :-)
