I think so, too. I don't know about you, but I was taught a 24-hour day is best allocated in thirds: eight hours for work, eight hours for play (leisure), and eight hours for sleep.
Now that I think about it, you're correct. If the problem in question is lethargy, then sleeping will only aggravate that problem and lead to a kind of vicious cycle, if you will.
