My mother loved that movie. Every time me or one of my brothers would bring a girl home, she'd be all like, "You haven't seen Tremors?!" And they'd have to sit through watching it.

It's a Masterpiece.

It is quite a likable film. I saw it multiple times because of the aforementioned scenario, and I still enjoy it. The sequels ... not so much.
