Visually a piece of art. Frank Herberts story and world is also very interesting.

True to the books. Visually gorgeous. Good acting (unlike the '80s movie). Also Frank Herbert is a freaking genius and actually Dune is some of his *least* imaginative work(!)

? Isn't AI illegal in the Dune universe? They got these people who do math in their heads instead and stuff. Are we talking the new movie, and is it diverting from the books?

Yes, it is true. Dune has biologically/genetically altered humans and creatures to do heavy math and navigation instead of computers and AI.
