I've now started phasing out Facebook. It's too valuable for me to just delete it but I started moving private Messenger conversations over to Signal. #deletefacebook

Me neither. My income is dependent on Facebook so that's why it's too valuable for me at the moment.

Signal is as safe as it gets. Open source and thoroughly vetted. Funded by donations. Even Snowden endorses it...

Yeah I think people should be aware of trusting Snowden. If he was real I think he was killed already.

What I think is a little bit scary is that it uses your phone number. There they have the metadata on a server.

I would say that one thing I was little scared about with signal is that it uses the phone number. I would say I don't care if they track me. As long they can't censor me.
