because the battle filed isn't at their home and they won't get killed in the war, but they might be infected in this shitty COVID19, so sad but so truth: people is selfish
I would say people are stupid because even if they were just selfish then they should know that they have to pay for the consequences of that war which costs them their money.
they are stupid selfish people because they don't ever think about how the government use the money that paying by themselves. they won't think about the consequences of wars for sure
