Just like Trump spoke out against the "swamp" and then surrounded himself with swamp creatures as soon as he got into office? :)

You must be young to still have faith in politics

Where did I endorse Trump? Smart people saw the con immediately, he's a known grifter. Only idiots and religious nutjobs vote Republican, his entire campaign was propped up by trolls

All politicians are like that. If it's allowed to "vote" for them, you can be sure that they're on the dark side regardless of their public narratives.

Advocate for ranked choice voting, abolishing the electoral college, or eliminating lobbyists/money in politics. It's the best chance we've got

There are pros and cons to district based voting. I know in a referendum we just rejected getting rid of the district based system. Eliminating gerrymandering would go a long way.

What about just landowners being allowed to vote? They have skin in the game and a interest in having property rights protected.

That would be a good idea, but tons of foreign investors own empty houses in democratic countries. Better to require high school/public education completion for citizens, etc.
replied 1862d
Primary residence would be a requirement but I would trust foreign investors with votes more than people who just vote for more free shit.

If the foreign investors aren't living here, are they really going to vote in the best interests of people who do? Countries could also attack/destabilize us by just buying up houses
replied 1861d
They will want to protect their investment. But yeah, needs further consideration for sure.

Exactly when did "they" stop allowing us to vote for middle class representation? There's nothing keeping it off the ballot

Not all politicians are like Trump lol, that's nuts
