awareness of the token artificially. "There is much talk about this token, so it must be valuable" kind of thing. This suggests to me only scammers can see value in this token.

I do not follow this closely, it may be only a "scam waiting to happen", i.e. this is the pump phase of pump-and-dump. What I really say is I see no intrinsic value in the token.
