On mobile using Chrome, select "desktop site" from the 3dot drop down menu, allows you to upload to Imgur without having to use app ;-)

Does it only work for the imgur site? Can't just link to a gif anywhere?
well for now you can only upload pics on imgur and copy the link to post it here but I believe in the future there will be more supported sites.
You could also say right-click image and copy/past direct img link. I think whoever knows how to use complex wallets, withdraw $ etc... knows how to paste an img link, lol.
there are instances where if you right-click an image and copy/paste you'll get a different link.
I don't kinow where, it always gives me the same link with individual pictures. Instances you mention may happen with img galleries on Imgur.
