I just had a scary thought while taking out the garbage. If covid-19 came from bats can it infect rats? If so then infected waste going to landfill and down the drain could ensure it's return.
Hm, that is not scary. The problem with Covid-19 is that it is new to humans, which it is because contamination cross species to humans is very unlikely.
Apparently it's scary enough for the CDC to issue a statement that all infected people should stay away from pets.
OK, I retract my statement. I thought you said we can infect bats (not rats).
