The article:

Quite:
"The experiment is assured to accentuate alarmist critics of the LHC, ...

many of whom initially warned the high energy particle collider would start the top of our universe with the making a part of its own. ...

But up to now Geneva stays intact and securely outside the event horizon."
Yea, I feel much better now. Suppose I put an undetonated bomb in your house and used that logic. ...

Every now and then I would do an experiment on the bomb, increasing power and recklessness as I went along. Each time you complained I would reply "it hasn't gone off yet".

If it makes u feel any better, particle collisions of similar energy levels are constantly happening naturally in the upper atmosphere. LHC just duplicates this in a precise location.

Yea, but I am sure it is possible to argue that the LHC ones are somehow "different". Anyway, what I said was a bit tongue in cheek, and also really about the article argumentation.
