My take: if you promote the state, even if you think you do that so that the individual in turn will have his conditions improved, it will still be to the detriment of the individual
Communist countries are good examples of this. And promoting the state for the state's sake is of course meaningless. But a strong state can be useful, like if attacked by a big group.And this potential problem with my thinking I have not analysed enough. Maybe the problem is the thoughtless promotion of the state, where the individual is forgotten that is bad.Or maybe we live in a world that has become too complicated, so in everyday life we just cannot keep up with the world and still maintain philosophical purity.
