The best way to fight climate change - stop importing people from low carbon footprint countries into countries where they consume 10x the amount of resources and fossil fuel energy.

The best way is to restructure our power and transportation industries. As it is the free market is moving them to cleaner sources already.

"the free market"

I admire your naivety, Sam.
replied 2489d
I am willing to work in a world without absolutes. Sure we do not have ideal free markets, but we do have practical free markets. We also have black markers.
replied 2489d
The free market allocates resources in the most efficient, cost effective, and environmentally friendly way. The government is the biggest polluter in the world.
replied 2489d
I don't blame you, as you are mentally retarded.... I meant that the free market does not exist (currently).
replied 2489d
No absolute or ideal forms of anything exist. To expect ideals and absolutes in reality will only ever hold you back though. We must deal with reality instead of how we want things.
replied 2489d
It's not about ideals. We don't have anything remotely close to a free market.
replied 2489d
Why would you say it is not even close to a free market? By what in particular are you judging it?
replied 2390d
Look at global trade. The Western Empire controls the all the markets. There is no free market, unless the US collapses and no other power hijacks the market after them.
replied 2390d
There is no markets with zero control, sure. That does not mean there isn't a free market though. If you can only have idealism, or nothing, then expect a life with nothing.
replied 2390d
Darknet markets and OB can be considered free markets, but they are a niche currently.
replied 2390d
Even black markets can not be considered free markets since they have to operate outside the law. If they didn't have product seized so often then they might be closer to a free market
replied 2489d
I would lie if I claimed that this kind of mental retardation did not provide entertainment for me.

You can't deny that mass immigration into opulent nations is horrible for the environment...
replied 2489d
Yes, everything is the fault of immigrants and immigration, including your pathetic life. ;)
replied 2489d
ofc, this will fly over your head by a mile, so I help you: you're the descendants of immigrants.
replied 2489d
My ancestors didn't come to America for the welfare!
replied 2489d
Lol of course they did, it's highly likely they were indentured servants looking for a paid way to a better life.

The funny part is "indentured servant" is a euphemism for slave
replied 2489d
Only 50% did! And many voluntarily chose ind. servitude! Modern third world immigrants just get free stuff!

replied 2489d
You're starting to go off-script, of course they chose indentured servitude. Because they were looking for a *paid way to a better life* lol. How is that different than free stuff?
replied 2489d
Because they worked for their money, instead of receiving tax money that is extorted by force from hard working citizens!
