Monero doesn't need CashFusion(CF). It has superior native privacy. BUT BCHs strength is that regulators cannot ban it because CF is just an external service & can be indetectable.

Even in that case, the technology should be independent of the capabilities of regulators. Monero compromises many things for its native privacy while BCH added selective privacy.

Yes there are pros & cons to both, & I agree that having the privacy separated from the main protocol makes it less of a target by regulators & this has also been my personal stance...

...but some day there may be a situation where we don't need to worry about what regulators think anymore.

Sorry to butt in, but isn't this totally unlikely given that the goal is that bitcoin gets popular? I would think leaders and public servants would find controlling coins necessary

Look at all the control there is on fiat. This did not happen by accident. Controlling the money is a very natural tool if you want to control people. And they love controlling people.

Thats true. However, this is the first time that we have something that cannot be absolutely controlled. Some chains might be captured but (real) DEXes & forking mutes their power.

DEXes that intend to defeat government-level attacks run on Tor and preserve users' privacy
