How Memo is handling the BCH fork: https://memo.cash/bch-fork

I kind of like this approach as a way of keeping a forum where the BCH and BSV supporters can debate on equal turf without censorship. Better than an echo-chamber.

I love this approach and command Jason for his efforts..., but it cannot be once the fork id is removed.

I appreciate this approach for the reason that I need not interact with that other chain at all, and can continue using exclusively BCH on Memo.

Thank you! I will use the ABC verison of Memo from now on.

Me too, simplify the tips (BCH).

Will there be a way in the interface to see which posts were made with which half of the fork? BCH vs. BSV?

Thank you memo team! Real work done, level headed thinking about the situation, good to-the-point information about what has been/will be done and why.

hmm, it seems like non-enforcing of no-split-protocol will be a pain for the future-implementers of memo-protocol; what if someone with SV-coins replies to a post made with ABC-coins?

memo.cash will rerad the posts from both chains, and combine the display. I post on BCH chain, they replay on BSV chain, memo, cash combines them.

*read, memo.cash will *read* the posts...
replied 2420d
mkay, lets say it is 5 years from now & ABC-chain is defunct, the memo-protocol implementer now has no access to the post that was replied to

Blockchain won't disappear. Memo could be running one BCH archival node, and pull old post from it. New post will then be recorded on one chain only.
replied 2420d
yes it is doable, but sounds like a pain in the ass

Well done memo, best wishes, it's time to move on. Both BCH and BSV.
