I don't think anyone wants a split. However, since ABC unilaterally decided to implement an IFP without support from the majority of stakeholders, business and miners there is a risk
of a split in November. However, since the pro-IFP side has so little support, I think the BCH will survive and the IFP will either not happen or happen on a new ABC chain.
I will
propably sell my ABC coins if the latter happens.
It is ABCs right to fork if they want. I wish them well. I just wish they were doing it in a less messy and destructive way.

Nobody wants a split. People just have a different point of view about the IFP, and this will probably cause a split.
Personally, I will support the non-IFP chain ("BCHN"). I will sell >80% of my ABC coins and won't use their chain for a while.
I don't want a split either, was in Townsville Australia that has huge BCH adoption, even got a kebab shop on board and trying to get merchants on board on the Gold Coast
Please don't conflate splits with forks.
