It can be used for any topics you want. You can get tipped for your posts. There is a lot of BCH chatter here though because BCH is what fuels it.
Every day, we read a few posts from people telling us they are new and asking how it works. Some of them then beg for tips.

You should post a message on Twitter or Gab which links to your Memo profile to prove you are the real David Bond ;)
All messages, likes, etc. on Memo are stored on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. This means that the social network is *theoretically* uncensorable: you can replicate it on another website
such as
https://member.cash. This also means that you have to pay to post something (I think there is a faucet for newcomers though?). So, at least here anti-BCH trolls have to use
