That is the same with all vaccines. It's not as if it was a physical barrier. It drastically reduces how much you can spread though, and how I'll it can make a person.
replied 1587d
This is why the new infections are mostly only among the unvaccinated. They are the ones mostly sick and hospitalised. They are the ones who die. There is no reason to not vaccinate.

My mother can't get vaccinated. The docors told her it would kill her. She's not the only one. Plus vaccines vary in results. Covid vaccine isn't doing well so far.

Sure, there are people who can not get vaccinated. This makes getting vaccinated when you can more important to reduce the spread. Not to mention saving the lives of those who get it.

You just inspired me to write this article.... Thanks ;)

The Delta variant is nowhere near as dangerous as the original. They're using this obvious truth to make it seem like the vaccines have SOME value. It's about 'compliance' ect....
replied 1587d
Did you make that up, or is that misinformation you heard? It's is crazy how much these lies get spread. It's why there needs to be restrictions against anti-vaxxers.

February to May the percentage of deaths per positive test ranged from 10.6% to 1.9% to 6.15%....
The last 3 months the most it's been is about 1.8%
replied 1587d
I didn't know this though-

% of tested people that were positive.

April 2020 19.4%
July 2021 3.6%
replied 1587d
The actual death rate is about 1% of infected people. When you see a higher death rate per tested it means people are positive who are not tested.
replied 1587d
Which means when you see 1.8% deaths per positive test that a good portion of the infected are identified. Not that it is less deadly.
replied 1586d
The point of the graph was to show the same methods for gathering data used from February 2020 till now. Method didn't change. Data showed significantly higher %s last year which means
replied 1586d
That my point from earlier; that you insulted as misinformation; was correct. Death rates are noticeably lower now per % of cases. Delta is a big nothing burger.
replied 1586d
That is because your misinterpreting the data. Those higher death rates were from only testing the more I'll people. Your link doesn't support your point.
replied 1586d
What it actually means is that many more people were infected than were reported earlier on. Now they are reporting more accurate numbers. The death rate is always 1% to 2%.
replied 1586d
If you see a higher reported deaths rate then that tells you how many unreported cases there likely was. Not that it is less deadly now.
