Monero fees these days are usually less then $0.01, sometimes spiking to as “high” as $0.08

If at current adoption rate Monero fees spikes to 0.08$, that is a bad scaling sign for Monero.

Yea...I noticed that. However, it must mean that miners have a soft-setting that reflects the orphanrisk etc. that constitutes higher fees.

"Nobody" the *exact* same way "nobody" was using BTC in 2012: on DNMs
DNMs are now banning BTC and accepting only XMR.

Yeah I think most DNMs are exclusively XMR now. Strong usecase but also a big target on it's back because of it. Interested to see how it plays out. Privacy is a necessity.
