Ethereum did not have a myriad of regulations to deal with when it launched, Vitalik said so him self.
Besides, Ethereum is over bought by speculators, that is why the price movement is null.
I'm talking in a technology POV, they just have much better tooling and bigger developer community with a codebase that is battle tested for years. The happen to have more $ as well
