The hashrate has fallen very sharply.
replied 2071d
The pow algo should have been changed by now.

replied 2071d
brace for a month of major difficulty-algo gaming
replied 2071d
Difficulty has almost halved. Soon everything must stabilize again and continue with lower difficulty and lower hashpower.
replied 2071d
AFTER BSV and BTC have their halvings things will be back to normal
replied 2071d
But it is absolute proof that price is determined by supply and demand and not the hash rate as some think.
replied 2071d
I say not even supply and demand. Is there demand for Litecoin? But it's still in the top 10. Unfortunately it's all about market makers, day traders and speculators.
replied 2071d
We have a winner. Coin distribution and utility driven demand matters.
replied 2071d
There is demand for Litecoin. They have a large community. I think it's slowly dying, but it's still there.
replied 2071d
This is bullshit. Litecoin is a shitcoin with little activity.
replied 2071d
I agree Litecoin is junk. But there are still some pretty big holders keeping the price up. https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-litecoin-addresses.html
replied 2071d
These lists are usually exchange wallets or old addresses with lost private keys.
replied 2071d
Large community? Have you seen any lite coin products made in the last few years?

replied 2071d
Litecoin has a large community of traders. They do not care on any other ltc product or usecase, all they need is that ltc is supported by every exchange out there, so they can trade.
replied 2071d
Traders are not community. They trade pretty much everything else. We don't have loyal trader out there
homopit
replied 2071d
That's the only community ltc has.
replied 2071d
That's exactly it. Litecoin is only used for speculation. It has no community only speculators. BTC users are also mainly speculators, but there are still people who use BTC for
replied 2071d
All crypto is speculation. Even BCH. No matter how good BCH works, if nobody is willing to accept it, It's a long way to go for mass adoption.
replied 2071d
shopping.
replied 2071d
No, but there are a lot of Charlie Lee sock puppets. That's all that's necessary.
replied 2071d
I don't think sock puppets have any money to influence anything.
replied 2071d
You want to make sense out of it, finding the rational reason behind price action but markets are irational. There is no reason for many crypto projects to have value but they do
replied 2071d
There is a reason. It's all speculation. Even BTC. People will always invest in speculation. That's the rational reason.
replied 2071d
All thanks to market makers, day traders and shady exchanges
replied 2071d
I don't think that BSV halving will change anything. BTC halving will be exciting.
replied 2071d
No BSV won't help BCH but BSV will drop as well until BTC halving.
replied 2071d
Yes, the BSV hashrate will also fall, but only when the BTC/BCH price continues to rise will the BCH hashrate rise again.
replied 2071d
It will be exciting when the BTC halving takes place, because BTC mining can become unprofitable.
replied 2071d
Why? Nothing really is going to happen.
replied 2071d
After BTC halving, BTC mining may become unprofitable. BTC difficulty will not adapt as fast as the BCH difficulty.
replied 2070d
Rip to the holders 😌
