IMO he started OK, but he "forgot" that there could be 3.rd party entities who will trade your token for real money. In a real economy, it is also something that will just have to be
possible to do. I buy gold with my token, I buy fiat with the gold. Or whatever. Further, a token is basically a premined coin, which makes the non-premined coins "better".
He shows some other holes in his thinking which I cannot remember atm, then the big hole, UBI. Now he has totally lost it. I lost patience pretty fast when he started on that.
His sudden embrace of UBI took me a bit by surprise. Can't see it going down well with his regular crew. I think he is just becoming increasingly angsty about automation.
There are huge holes in what he says, as you point out. I cut him some slack, assuming he may cover some in a follow up. But basically I cannot see anything new in what he proposes...
It's all tried, tested and failed. Many times before.... yet still, I find myself rooting for him a little.
