It's not about disagreement. He bent the knee for BlockstreamCore when it was the most crucial time to stand up against them.
You can see his talks explaining how developers will always use all the resources available, and this is not even on blockchain, but software in general.
He was always was pro-segwit, even in 2014. He never really agreed to big blocks as an ultimate solution.
