Movie is filled with silly things like that. Guy has shot lots of people, police is coming and he hurries around a corner, and that's that, he slows down, nobody ever comes after him.
But the scene where hero fights his friend who absolutely refuses to put on some f-ing glasses to humor him, that seems more and more realistic to me as time goes by.
