Think before you procreate. #antinatalism

Only living people have a choice. You assign moral worth to ‘potential people’, yet deny them this choice.

It's not so much assigning moral worth to potential people but attempting to stop potential people from experiencing suffering or imposing suffering on others. #antinatalism

So do you define ethics and morality primarily in terms lessening suffering?

I don't think there is an objective morality but subjectively want to reduce suffering. The best term to describe my view is negative utilitarianism.

Do you wish you’d never been born?

That there is no objective morality, in my view, is a good argument for not bringing new life into existence. Why why new life into existence and expose it to moral nihilism?

Oh look, another oral contraceptive/Wellbutrin popping neurotic with unoriginal thoughts and ideas to share with the class.

Please, a few words on your precious ‘fur babies’ and pro-refugee outlook. After that it’s a short nap followed by fat acceptance and paint by numbers.

You've just thrown a whole bunch of stereotypes at me, likely in an attempt to shame me.

If there is moral nihilism and injustice in the world, why procreate and expose life to that?

yeah lets just die out as a species instead. lmao

For antinatalists, this is the gold standard. Total extinction of all sentient life guarantees elimination of all suffering. There is a possibility life re-emerges through abiogenesis.
