Yes, but just because it's open source doesn't necessarily mean Google isn't spying on you... There's nothing Google loves more than free products that spy on you.
Indeed. It's worth to stress that Chrome itself IS NOT open source.And I would bet any amount of money that Google spies on its users of any product.
