The Bitcoin Cash ecosystem is in the process of making clear what needs to happen in November, and a split is not one of those things.

If by ecosystem, you mean social media, then that is not a clear indicator. Miners will always decide the fate of the chain and most run ABC. They need to work with ABC, not against.
replied 1792d
Not true. Monero is a great example. If majority of the ecosystem decides they can replace miners easily at will.
replied 1791d
Social media is not the "ecosystem". Yeah, let's see if these social media influencers can replace miners "easily at will".
replied 1791d
ASIC miners are easily replaceable if economic majority stands behind an algorithm change.
replied 1792d
replacing miners with other miners
seems like a Sisyphean analogy.
replied 1791d
Bad actors have to be sidestepped by majority otherwise this is no improvement over the fiat system. Imagine if you had no option but was forced to live under Blockstream's policies.

What would you think about
replacing miners with a global supercluster ?
(I clarify this excludes any A.I.)
]Such certainly seems achievable.
The problem is human greed.

No split!!!
replied 1792d
Make it so, stakeholders. No bullshit, no split. It's a good combo.
replied 1792d
I hope you're right (no split). But a majority of miners and exchanges will need to switch to BCHN instead of ABC, if BCH is to be saved. Otherwise there will be a split as it looks
replied 1782d
Yes we keep moving in the direction we need to go. Remember anyone can split at any time. But if it's worth nothing, nobody calls it a split.
replied 1782d
Yes. That is what I hope. That the majority/price of the non-IFP will be so large that an IFP chain will have no relevance to speak of.
replied 1791d
BCHD is also now capable of being used as mining node software. Verde is also trying to become capable. I think it would be ideal if miners would just diversify.
replied 1791d
Yes, diversification to such a degree that no node implementation has a super majority.
replied 1790d
But we are not there yet.
replied 1782d
Sorry I got the context of the conversation now! Yes it will be good when we get there but we are not there yet. Mining template service is a good first step.
replied 1782d
We are not at global adoption yet either. What is your point? We keep moving toward success.
replied 1792d
now. Much to the detriment of everybody.
replied 1792d
No split!
