Why is this Flipstarter not getting more traction? I don't get it. Anyway, I have pledged 1 BCH.

Never heard of this guy.

Personally, I donate to people who have a good track record in the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem. I could also donate to projects recommended by people involved in
replied 22d
Fair enough.
replied 22d
the community, but this one isn't AFAIK.
replied 22d
There's no need for that, BitDB made by unwriter is much better and works exactly same. He made it in a week and for free. They are just trying to do that with SQL. Quite pointless IMO
replied 22d
Is that really all there is to it? Also, wouldn't be a nice thing for non-crypto devs to get going by having an SQL interface?
replied 22d
BitDB is mongo DB, quite good for non-crypto devs. SQL is more like oldish db and no other crypto project used it because there's no reason really
replied 22d
Allright. Fair enough :-)
replied 22d
I was wondering that. I was waiting for it to come down in price.
replied 22d
Is that the CashSQL guy?
replied 22d
That is what he says in the description.
replied 22d
People are tired of donations imo
replied 22d
It's just ABC propaganda.
replied 22d
It is a fact. Its unsustainable, and just a bad model. Not propaganda are all.
replied 22d
replied 21d
Why would I explain the irrelevant? Pointing to Monero, or other crypto means nothing.
replied 22d
Exactly.
replied 22d
No, that is not it. Plenty of Flipstarters that get fulfilled.
replied 22d
Buy several large donors. They are never really community drives. It always looks bad.
replied 22d
Introducing a tax and having a government...sorry "council".. decide what to do with the tax is definitely worse. The voluntary model is superiour when the market grows. Under ABC
replied 22d
leadersship the BCH market has shrunk, very true, it is time to shed that deadweight. Looking forward to it.
replied 22d
With that misinformation no wonder people got mad about the IFP proposal they never understood. When ABC goes so does the future of BCH.
replied 22d
LOL okay. Right. Because they have been such peaches coorporating with other businesses in the BCH ecosystem. Keep diluting yourself. Maybe you want to buy my ABC coins then after Nov.
replied 22d
15?
replied 22d
So? We should have more large donors. But until the self-entitled deadweight is shedded from BCH, investors won't come.
replied 22d
You do not see the obvious problems with development relying on a small pool of large donors? Do you remember Blockstream?
replied 22d
..also, ZCash, Dash etc. who have similar funding mechanisms have shown that the only ones benefitting from an IFP are the protocol devs already in control. For investors/stakeholders
replied 22d
it has been a shitty investment and for business close to irrelevant.
replied 22d
I see just as many problems with the so-called council and the ABC controlled fund address, if not more. Blockstreams ironfist becomes tamer by the day.
replied 22d
What counsil are you imagining now? Is there one in the newest proposal.

It's not that ABC is great, it is that the hatred towards them hurts all of BCH. The fork will kill BCH off.
replied 22d
It is not hatred. It is the rest of community simply reacting to the antics of ABC & judging from both futures prices and miner signalling, the market as well.
replied 21d
No, it was mostly FUD from the outside, and many in the community bought it and ran with it. There is no market. Miner signaling sure, yes. Sadly it breaks the future of BCH.
replied 20d
No, it sets it free.
replied 20d
Sure... free to see its valuation cut in half again.
replied 17d
Not cut in half. Perhaps shedding 10-15% in the short term, but it will hardly be more than that. It a small minority that support ABC/IFP, majority is either neutral or no-IFP.
replied 16d
Look at what happened with BSV. That this one will be just as bad, if not worse. BCH looked bad during that fork, and it will look bad during this fork. It is a petty reason for a fork
replied 16d
LOL. Not even close.
replied 16d
SilentSam is a decent contrarian indicator.
replied 16d
I haven't noticed what other calls he has made. So I can't say of that is so. Do you have some links/examples of previous calls by him that failed?
