If people brought they own knowledge to the new companies that can't be under copyright & can be seen as veto on employment, anyways they will have hard time to prove it

It is a matter of downloading and stealing specific designs that they asked the employees to steal before coming over. Not simply a matter of employees knowing how Tesla did things.

No they were not taking heir own work. They were able to track specific access and downloading and printing of documents. It was plain theft.

The open source patents are different.

There is a difference between using he tech Tesla released and made public, and requesting tech Tesla has not released to be taken. Tesla made many patents open. They have new ones.

Obviously they do not give out their latest tech. But they are helping others catch up if they want since almost no other company can match that older open source tech.

The theft was tracked. They know which computer accessed which files. The employee broke their NDA agreement.

The lawsuit is justified. It's that simple.
