Which sets a bad precedent if any BTC miners wanted to do that to BCH. They easily could. You have to accept the minority chain issues though.
Technically there are not BTC or BCH miners, just SHA256 miners, and it’s not viable for them to attack BCH like that currently. But there may come a time...
Its viable for them to attack BCH. Just lucky that none of them have wanted to.

With enough money to burn you could attack any coin, even BTC
With BCH hash being in the 1 to 2% of BTC hash I would think someone with malicious intent could easily afford to. It is just good none want to.
