Put your phone in the microwave, and call it with another cell phone, if it rings, that means your microwave is leaking.
It doesn't. The microwave uses different frequency than your phone, therefore, the shielding is not necessary protects against the amplitude of the phone signal.
I have not tried my microwave yet.
But don't turn on the microwave obviously with your phone in there, just call it with another phone.
