What is not going good in Europe? Is there something besides the existence of immigrants? That seems to he the only mole hill you are making a mountain of.
They were at first. The "gilets jaunes" were protesting against the raise of a tax on oil. Now, most of them just want more state and more socialism (e.g. raising the minimum wage).
Minimum wage protests aren't that unreasonable IMO, having it rise 2% per year would just account for inflation and the raises people should already receive. More state in what way?
The thing is that is not how taxes work, I cant be too sure about France though. Usually the increase in the tax bracket only applies to money earned in that bracket.
That I can understand. The system itself can always be debated. As a Canadian I am use to everything being taxed. It can be a tricky system to get right.
So often you pay no income tax on a certain amount, the lowest tax rate on the next lump, and so on. So it's impossible to be taxed more because you earn more.
You have a lot of crony capitalism in France: the state is involved in many big companies and is enforcing complex laws preventing small businesses to grow.
Ah yeah, that's starting to pop up all over the world though. We need another Theodore Roosevelt IMO, break up some of these MNCs before they're the government
The more power the state has over companies, the more companies will fight to get power in the state. Why doesn't people understand this? Limit state power, that is the only way.
Because it isn't true. Corporations won't stop vying for control over markets with less restrictions, they'll just form trusts and stop competing as they have in the past
LOL. You're the one who is advocating for "voodoo economics," trickle down theory was proven to be a fantasy years ago. Most of my econ ed. in college was disproving Keynes
