Now, as I said, this is not "because of" capitalism, it is what happens in all systems. Communism for example seems to battle it, on the surface, but then the reality is that it does
not really handle it at all. To battle the really powerful, you need to be equally powerful, and those who are equally powerful are then in turn also getting corrupted by power.
So avoiding pareto distribution is really an unsolved problem. Decentralization might help, but I am not sure it really does that much, since some will fight you and centralize.
