on ETH there was a scam that went like this:
someone created a token
airdropped it to lost of people (to hype it)
held a lot for them self
dumped it on a dex
token became almost worthless
happened multiple times
Some token creator's are trustworthy. 🍺 for example lol!!
When price went silly, I pledged not to sell any and continue to give them away free. Which I have done :-)

I'm seeing a person create emoji tokens (which anyone can do) that don't serve any function outside giving a reaction and selling them
at inflated prices with no group consensus that the emojis are the official token of that emoji or anything like that to give it value
that's still happening all the time and the medium they use is Telegram!
almost everything in crypto has a Telegram
it's a great messenger
some of these are obvious jokes, but the ones that aren't, i think should send a majority share to memo. memo will be the ultimate token judge anyway so mind as well be godfather
that would be a good idea, or people could just use the reaction tokens, its the selling of them I'm skeptical of
keep in mind a lot of the stuff with ETHs ico mania will likely
be repeated using SLPs (possibly by the same people) and when the prices crash everyone will be looking for stuff to point fingers at
growing pains... it just has to play out.
my point being just because you got some free tokens and it triggered an endorphin release in your brain making you feel good having some skepticism is a good thing.
