Also, what incentive do wealthy users have for tapping #Libra? It appears facebook is targeting low end users. Am I wrong?

Another point is why would anyone trust Facebook / #Libra after all of their privacy violations? They were just fined $5 Billion dollars by the FTC. #Bitcoin is trust less for a reason

The point of #Bitcoin is that security is baked into the network. What #security does #Libra offer? To me it appears to just be a database.

AFAIK, Libra network is something like XRP/Stellar. I expect collision between validations to be plausible.
replied 2181d
But way more scammy and centralized. XRP/Stellar anyone can bring up a validator and anyone can pick which validators they use. For Libre, FB will own the validator list. Rent-seeking$
replied 2181d
That is correct.

Yes. In theory, in the future, Libra is planned to be more decentralized. I don't believe it will never be decentralized enough.

The central planners plan to decentralize... at an unspecified point in the future. After the crisis is over. After everything is well under (their) control.
I've seen this movie.
