Been on a plant based diet pretty much since the beginning of the month. Surprised how easy it is. Let's see how I feel after a couple of months. #dailymemo
for me it's cuz i got this idea from watching a documentary called Game Changers on Netflix. They called it a plant based diet so I'm just copying them.
Well, they are derided some as being annoying. Like the joke, "How do you know someone is a vegan? Don't worry, they'll tell you." I guess they're viewed as judgmental too.
Congrats! Wish the best. I've been vegan for 1 year now and switched from one day to another. After 2 months I could stand the taste or smell of meat anymore.
plants have very bad absorption rates for vitamins and minerals and even contain toxins like lectins, oxolates and phytates. Animal products are better nutrition.
could be. I don't know who to believe anymore, so doing this so i can see for myself. if after a couple of months i don't feel a difference, i'll go back to eating meat.
I was at the same stage a few years ago, experimented with plant based, got sick and depressed, like all vegans. Check out the carnivore diet and info around that after your plantfast
I was on vegan for nearly 8 years, during that period, I tried with pure vegan, and then I changed to Macrobiotic. The thing with plant based diet is that initially you felt good.
However over the time, you need to be careful because of the many toxins in plants. I would recommend you to read the Plant Paradox, there are good stuff there.
In fact, many agri cultures have traditional ways to handle the toxins in plants, such as cooking (various types), fermentation, and processing to reduce the effects.
My wife and I did it for about 4 months.. it was exciting and easy in the beginning.. but after 4 months it became tough to continue on with it.. I really just wanted to eat whatever!
