The term 0-conf has an image problem. It would be better if BCH wallets used the term 'Authorized'.

It is clear and understandable, it is similar to credit card terminology and it is a lot more positive.

How about "verified" or "checked"? Nodes check if the transaction is valid before relaying it.

I think merchants will understand Authorized because they are familiar with it. Anything else, even if it is more technically accurate, is confusing.

Well, "Authorized" sounds like some "higher" authority is authorizing it, so I wouldn't want to give wrong idea. I understand what you mean though about it being a confusing term.

On a blockchain the key holder is the highest authority, so I'm comfortable that it is accurate. I also like that it mirrors cc language.

I remember a conversation about this in the past on reddit /btc. I *think* there were some good ideas in there for terms.

I actually feel like "confirmed" make more sense for 0-conf & another word would be better for in a block, like "recorded" or "registered". It's a new concept for many, so may not be

easy to come up with terms that "automatically" convey the actual meaning to regular people.
