Bitchute does not seem to me like a serious contender to the "freedom for videos" throne. It does not seem to have real freedom-supporting features. Also "bitch-ute", not serious name
It is just an effort someone put together.

dissuade YT from completely erasing everything credible.

I believe more in lbry for now, though I suppose both platforms are unprepared for a serious hostile takeover attempt by the big actors.
