Ukrainians and the Ukrainian state is significantly more socialist/pro-west and left-leaning than Russians. Thats enough for the full, questionless support of western empires.
I thought this was mostly about Nato getting geographically closer to Russia, making it vulnerable, and as a consequence, weak. But I am not even paying attention, what do I know.
