Personal property laws are a part of a fair/healthy capitalist economy, but they aren't always respected. I think you're confusing capitalism with its fundaments

I also believe that owning assets should NOT interfere with the well being of others. If you own something and it causes other people to die, is it worth owning?

That doesn't make any sense. Owning something can't cause someone to die.

For example, if you invest in tobacco companies, you are making money off of cancer.

"Laws" have nothing to do with capitalism. Capitalism is private ownership of the means of production, i.e. voluntary relations / free trade
