Cool, have you ever used BCH for payment yet down there?
replied 1788d
I did some donations to friends and co workers in #BCH I was not able to spend it yet... I visited several places listed on marcocoino which DID NOT accept BCH or didnt even exist...
replied 1788d
Sadly information on marcocoino and information given by bitcoin.com is often based on some illusionary expectations... Merchants are not trained properly. I would love to fix that!
replied 1788d
Good luck. For what it’s worth I donate to EatBCH regularly and I understand he buys a lot of food from various grocery stores with BCH, but maybe he negotiated something 1on1

I would love to raise funda for the animals and the environment here in Venezuela. There are opportunities to protect sea turtles. Would you donate for such a cause too?
replied 1787d
I would love to donate for protecting sea turtles! give me more info.

At the moment I am focused on testing merchants & making http://bmap.cash the most reliable map but in a few months I might try to raise funds for some organization and get back here.
replied 1787d
I know that on the island of margarita they have ten people in jail for selling turtle eggs. Which means the government really cares and I guess there is a need for more protection.
replied 1787d
There do exist some places it is just that you have to wait until the boss arrives or whatever issue they might have because they are not trained nor tested properly.
replied 1788d
Please give me a couple of examples of the places that don't exist that are listed. I will check it out myself. Sorry not going to take your word for it.
replied 1787d
In total I visited four places to spend #BCH in Caracas #Venezuela of which three had a bitcoin.com sticker but none of them was able to sell me anything as employees were untrained.
replied 1787d
Even in europe, crypto accepting places often end up like that. if nobody or very few people use these currencies then the staff will forget how to handle these payments.
replied 1787d
Yes same issue everywhere, thats why we need test consumers and others sponsoring them with the funds to do so! I am donating my time but so far very few have been donating funds...
replied 1787d
Another example is the bar insode parque central... Similar issues here. They didnt even have a bartender... Parque Central Complex

Another is "Loveeat" inside centro plaza also has the Bitcoin.com sticker added the same week but nobody knew how to take my funds.

Another example is the ice cream shop which had a fresh bitcoin.com sticker but did not know how to take #BCH: Heladería Divinos Pecados

I am so happy you don't take my word! The places which do not exist are near Altamira, transversal 7 crossing avenida luis roche... Two dots on the map in a housing area. I was there..
replied 1787d
I will write an article about that on reddit in a few weeks anyway... It is bullshit propaganda both by BCH and DASH which do not educate nor test the merchants properly...
replied 1787d
Its not anybody's job other than a business to educate themselves If they don't think it will save them money, then they don't have incentive to do so.Think about that before you write
replied 1787d
I see the responsibility in marcocoino. bitcoin.com which is running around giving these stickers to the people... They should not add untrained places to the map ever.
replied 1787d
That's why I suggested a type of map that you type in your local address and it lists business around the area maybe even narrow it down to they type of business.
replied 1787d
Really awesome map feature is that one which shows whenever the merchant had its latest customer paying with #BCH or #DASH check: http://map.anypay.global
replied 1787d
Although they still need to list the businesses instead of click on the balloon. Even that little area is getting a bit crowded and makes it more difficult to click on.
replied 1787d
now that is a cool map. I would have to say Marco Coino is junk compared to this one.
replied 1787d
There are millions of businesses around the world. There are only 1000 listed on Marco Coino. If BCH grows the map will become useless anyway.
replied 1787d
That process will take atleast ten years until it gets "useless" and still then it will be a great reference to have a list of the patriots, veterans to honor them with more customers.
replied 1787d
Doubt it. There will be areas of the map you can't click on anymore because it's too crowded before the 10 year mark.
replied 1787d
The world is big and always in a different state of development at another place at the same time... Maybe your assumption might be true for one area but then there are others.
